Makes me kinda wonder how it was even possible that once upon a time sharing egg-sandwiches with a guy wud be enuff to create a bond of friendship and the girl who sat next to you on the schoolbus wud be your brand new BFF.
But the harder it gets to find probable bosom-buddies, the more delighted I am to actually meet someone I can definitely be great friends with or atleast have great conversations with.
Friendship is born at the moment when one person says to another, 'What! You too? I thought I was the only one.' - C. S. Lewis

"What! You too? I thought I was the only one."
That was REALLY FAST! And oh yeah, I just love how that quote works out here. :D
Thats true...
:)
iLike.
SOme thoughts, here. You are quite right Karishma when you say that it is hard to become bosom friends when you surpass a certain age. So, these days I am quite comfortable on my own managing well with the few friends I made while younger. I feel that these days I connect with many people online (blogs, FB, etc.,) What say, Karishma? You too?
I really liked that quote by Lewis. What a nice way to describe the birth of friendship.
Hope all is well at your end. All the best for everything.
Joy always,
Susan
Every adjustment becomes difficult with time. But I feel, somewhere we should all be open to new friendships..
Hello.
Blue Periwinkle, thanks! :)
Susan, I agree. I really didnt expect to become such good friends with people I met online, but I did and I'm actually pretty glad that I live in the Age of the Internet. :D Congratulations again on the Ph.D. :)
Sakshi, agreed.
Philophobic, hi!
As usual, just the right words!
And CS Lewis is SUCH feel-good stuff. Just cuz of that, Imma go read some Narnia now.
I love your pithy, insightful posts TUIB! :)
That's one of my favorite quotes!
And it should be admitted now that I have been a regular of your blog, though I haven't commented before.
JD! Totally agree about C. S. Lewis! I discovered Narnia late, but I loved how it felt like LOTR Lite at times. :D
pantula, thanks for commenting this time, man! And yup, one of my favourite quotes, too. :)
